iOS

The app is not receiving sound. What should I check?

Open Settings on your iPhone, select Privacy & Security, then Microphone. Check that SpectraHold has permission. Return to the app and try again.

If the issue continues, close and reopen the app, then contact support. You can also read Apple’s microphone troubleshooting guide.

How does the 7-day trial work?

SpectraHold offers a free 7-day trial. There is no automatic charge when the trial ends. To continue using the app after the trial, you must confirm a one-time purchase through the App Store.

The price and currency for your region appear on the purchase screen before you confirm. SpectraHold has no recurring subscription.

I already purchased the app. How do I restore access?

Use the restore purchases option in SpectraHold with the same Apple Account used for the purchase. Restoring recovers a valid purchase and does not restart the trial.

If your purchase does not appear, check the account signed in to the App Store and try again. Read Apple’s help with restoring purchases or email support.

Is my audio or analysis history sent anywhere?

Analysis happens on your device. During normal use, audio and analysis history stay in session memory and are not transmitted by SpectraHold. The app does not save audio files through its normal user interface.

Read the privacy policy for details about local data, purchases and email support.

Does SpectraHold measure calibrated sound pressure levels?

No. SpectraHold analyzes the frequency spectrum from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and provides up to 120 seconds of analysis history. Results depend on the microphone, device and recording conditions.

It is not a calibrated sound pressure level (SPL) meter. Do not use its readings to certify noise exposure or as a substitute for calibrated measurement equipment.

Android beta

Version 0.1.0-beta.10

How does the Android beta use the microphone and history?

In version 0.1.0-beta.10, the frequency spectrum is calculated on your device. Audio and analysis history are processed in memory; the app does not save audio files, transmit these data or share them with third parties.

You can manage microphone permission in Android settings. Read the Android beta section of the privacy policy.

Does capture continue while the screen is locked?

Yes. Capture can continue in the background or while the screen is locked, with a notification indicating that it is active. Freezing the graph does not stop the microphone.

To stop capture, use the stop-capture action in the notification or close the app’s task.

How do I delete history and preferences on Android?

History is deleted when capture stops or the process ends. Preferences remain in Android’s private app storage and can be deleted by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it. App data backup is disabled in this beta.

Does the Android beta have a trial or purchases?

Android version 0.1.0-beta.10 does not offer an account, advertising, a trial, subscriptions, purchases or a paywall. The trial and purchase terms described in the iOS section do not apply to this Android beta.
