Privacy policy
How SpectraHold handles data in the app, on this website and through email support.
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Audio analysis happens on your device. SpectraHold does not send audio or analysis history to servers. Purchases, visits to this website and support messages are handled separately, as described below.
Developer and contact
SpectraHold is developed by Rafael Silva Pfleger. For questions about this policy or requests concerning personal data, contact spectrahold.support@gmail.com.
iOS
Microphone, audio and history
The app requests microphone access to analyze sound frequencies in real time. You can grant or revoke this permission in your iOS privacy settings. Audio analysis cannot work without microphone access.
Processing takes place on the device. During normal use, audio and up to 120 seconds of analysis history remain only in session memory. SpectraHold does not send them to developer or third-party servers or keep them as audio files through its normal user interface. These data are not available as persistent history after the session ends.
Data stored on your device
SpectraHold stores usage preferences in local app storage (UserDefaults). It also records the timing information needed to manage the free trial in Keychain, the system’s protected storage.
These records maintain your preferences and apply the trial period. They are not sent to a SpectraHold server. Trial records in Keychain may remain after you remove the app; reinstalling the app or restoring purchases does not guarantee a new trial.
Purchases through Apple
The one-time purchase and purchase restoration are processed by Apple’s services through StoreKit. The app uses transaction and entitlement information provided by Apple to verify the purchase and unlock access.
SpectraHold does not receive your payment card number. Apple handles account, payment and transaction data under the Apple privacy policy.
Accounts, advertising and tracking
SpectraHold does not require its own account, has no developer backend for receiving app data, and does not integrate advertising, tracking across apps or websites, analytics tools or external SDKs.
This does not cover operating system or App Store services, which Apple manages according to your device settings and its own policies.
Android beta
In Android version 0.1.0-beta.10, the microphone is used to calculate the frequency spectrum on the device itself.
Audio and analysis history are processed in memory; the app does not save audio files, transmit these data or share them with third parties. Preferences are kept locally in Android’s private app storage.
Capture can continue in the background or while the screen is locked, with a notification indicating that it is active; freezing the graph does not stop the microphone. To stop capture, use the stop-capture action in the notification or close the app’s task.
History is deleted when capture stops or the process ends. Preferences can be deleted by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it.
This beta does not offer an account, advertising, a trial, subscriptions or purchases.
When you contact support
Email support is optional. When you contact support, you share your email address, the name displayed in your message, and any content or attachments you choose to send. This information is used to respond to your request, investigate the issue you report and retain the context of the support conversation.
The support inbox uses Gmail, a Google service. The email service may process and store messages and technical records according to its policies and settings. See the Google privacy policy. Send only what is needed for support; do not send passwords, payment card details or audio recordings.
This support website
This website’s code does not include analytics, advertising pixels, forms, external fonts or optional cookies. Language selection uses links and is not stored in your browser by this website.
Visiting a page requires the hosting infrastructure to process connection data, such as your IP address and request information. The hosting platform and security or access-control services may retain operational logs and use features necessary for the service to function. This is separate from the app’s on-device audio processing.
This website uses Cloudflare Pages for hosting. See the Cloudflare privacy policy for information about the platform’s data handling.
Retention, deletion and your choices
iOS
Audio and analysis history are not retained as persistent files during normal app use. Preferences remain in local storage; their removal follows the app and iOS data controls. Keychain trial records follow the system’s own persistence behavior and may survive uninstalling the app.
Android beta
In Android version 0.1.0-beta.10, history is deleted when capture stops or the process ends. Preferences can be deleted by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it. App data backup is disabled in this beta. You can also revoke microphone permission in Android settings.
Support and providers
Support messages are kept for as long as needed to address requests, follow up on issues and meet applicable obligations. Providers retain operational records according to their policies and settings; this policy does not promise that those services keep no logs.
You can revoke microphone access in iOS settings. To request access, correction or deletion of data you sent to support, or to exercise other applicable rights, email spectrahold.support@gmail.com. Proportionate identity verification may be needed. The developer does not hold server copies of your audio or analysis history to retrieve or delete.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the app’s behavior or data handling practices change. The current version will be available on this page with an updated date.
